Whether you’ve just started your business or have been trading for a while, you may not have had the chance or budget to set up your website.
That doesn’t mean you can’t get enquiries and interest online though, keep reading to find out how.
Step 1: Buy your domain name and hosting
Even if you’re not planning on having a website built for a while, get your preferred domain name bought as soon as possible to make sure nobody else buys it.
Getting a basic hosting package will allow you to put something up online until you get round to doing your website properly.
Step 2: Get a holding page designed
A holding page is basically a ‘coming soon’ page. Rather than directing people to a holding page advertising your hosting company, ask someone to design you a more professional page.
There are a number of benefits of doing this;
- Make your business look more professional
- Give people your contact details
- Summarise what it is you do
- Create brand awareness
To give people even more information you could put links to your Google Profile and About Me page if you’ve set these up.
Step 3: List your business on Google Places
You don’t need to have a website to get listed on Google Places. Having your contact details, map location and a bit of information about your business is enough to drive online enquiries.
Best of all, Google Places is free to use and can get you listed on the first page of Google search results for your chosen keywords and phrases.
Don’t let your lack of website get in the way of online enquiries. For a little bit of effort you can still get your business noticed by your target market.
